Ultralite rod
It is almost ready. A TFO 1wt 6'8" Finesse rod, ultralite White River reel, and I'm waiting on the Orvis 1wt line to get here next week. It should be a heck of a Brim rod. Pictures to follow when all is done and fish are caught.

More Brim
I've been fishing the tail end of a storm front that has moved through the last couple of days, trying to catch some Bass with no luck. Brim, some of them are in the 8 inch range, are almost jumping on the hook but no Bass. I have seen them but they refuse to hit poppers and streamers. I'll just have to try some more.

Wearing them out.
The Boy and I have been fishing for a couple of hours late in the afternoon for the last few days at a local public park. We have been wearing them out, all Brim, Most of them to medium size but a few nice ones, but nothing huge. All were caught on either a 5wt. Griggs or a 3wt TFO using black, green, and yellow poppers.

Spring Break 09 on the Little Missouri River
This is the first time that I have fished the Little Missouri River near Murphysboro Arkansas. The trout where small but they fought like fish 3 times their size, we were using a 3wt. and 5 wt. rods and Y2K flys. This is where I caught the smallest Rainbow in my life and it fought just as hard a large one.

2009
Well it's a new year. This year will be better that the last, and last year was pretty good. The wife wants to go white water rafting in March for the boys spring break, so we may get a chance to fish the rivers of east TN. or NC. With gas prices down and the water down I plan on fishing the White river in AR. a little bit more.
